clean up

OK I'm starting up saltwater again been out of the game for a few years so feel like a newb question but when should I had some herms, snails or other inverts to the tank?

58g tank 1 1/2 to 2 " of sand and live rock been running for about 2 weeks live rock was cured when i got it
ammonia spike of between .025 and .50 ppm but hasn't risen above this level should I add some things as soon as the my levels read null . Oh and thanks for the adding salt to water post I will do that from now on
