What is this white stuff on the back?
I have been running without my skimmer for about 2 weeks now trying to fix it. This is a new setup of about 8 weeks. I am getting white stuff on the back of the tank. I am trying to find out what it is before I take corrective action.
The little thin stuff is almost hair like and sways back and forth with water flow. The more solid white specs are flat and look flaky. Any help? |

The little white dots are spirorbid worms. Harmless filter feeders. That other stuff is probably just some sort of algae. Keep your parameters within reason and it should subside given time. GL.
