Need Bubble King Supermarin 250 help
I've been running a BK SM 250 for two years, it's been working great. It is attached to a remote sump where the water level is always consist. The other day I had a power outage and the water drained from the remote sump. When the power came back on the skimmer started but there wasn't enough time for the sump to completely fill back up. I quickly turned the power of to the skimmer and waited for the remote sump to completely fill. I restarted the skimmer but the water line inside the skimmer was significantly lower. The red dragon pump was always submerged so it didn't run dry or anything but the water level inside of the skimmer was lower than usual and never rose. Is the pump ruined? After running for a day the level didn't rise and no foam developed. I called the company where I purchased it and they told me to clean it. I took the pump out took it apart soaked it in vinegar and then cleaned the red stand pipe that draws the air. After reassembling it I can't seem to get the correct settings. I placed a Dwyer air flow meter on the air intake and it is running at almost 40 l/min. That's 2400 L per hour. The red dragon 2000 pump says on the sticker air flow 1600 to 2000 L per hour.
What should I do? The red nozzle on the front of the pump originally came with a nozzle marked with a 20 on it. After talking to Proline they said that was the wrong one and sent me one with a 19 on it. After screwing it on all the way the black dots didn't match up. The black dot on the pump was on the top (12 o'clock) and the black dot on the nozzle was at (3 o'clock) Should I turn the nozzle until the dots line up? That would make it only a 3/4 turn or should I turn it one full circle so the dot will be back at 3 o'clock? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |

Screw it all the way in, then unscrew until the dots line up. That's the pumps "sweet spot".

That would only be a 3/4 turn. Right?

Proline customer service is the best. Albert called me today and was nice enough to explain everything I needed to do. He even provided me with a instructional video. I can't thank you enough.
