What do you guys think about having a give away for club members active on our forum?
With meetings occurring once a month, this forum is a way for us to always stay in contact with each other. It allows us to setup coral trading, group buys, plan events, and get immediate input on club related activities. You can also ask questions and get help with a reef problem on the forum. This wouldn't work well if we depended on that one day of the month where we meet and talk about these things.
So my point is, I can occasionally do a give away where a Jackson Area Reef Club member replies to the drawing thread with their RC name. I then take all the names that responded and put them in a bucket to draw a winner. The winner will then be posted on the thread and arrangements can be made for prize pickup. I will require a PM with full name to verify you are a JARC member before you can claim the prize. So what do you guys think? This would be to promote the use of our club forum so everyone stays connected. FYI: We are also on facebook. Take care, Tech Diver

I think that's an excellent idea...maybe we would get more people to use the forum. And I have some great pieces we could use on our copepod project.

I guess we will have to do one of these soon. We will do our first forum prize drawing in March since the March meeting is out of town. That way all members will have a chance to win even though they can't make the trip.

What kind of things are we looking for giveaways or raffle items? You never know sometimes we just have stuff laying around we don't use.
