Coralife Aqualight MH Fixture-Any Good?
I am looking at this fixture for my 125 reef. Anybody have any opinions on it? I can get a fairly new fixture from a local guy getting out of the hobby. The price is right but I don't want to waste money if this fixture isn't worth it regardless of price. I am looking at keeping mostly SPS and clams.

I'm on the same boat as you buddy. I'm getting the 2-150, 2-96w actinic + moonlights.
Price is unbeatable for 100 bucks. I'm getting it today after 6pm. I'll let u know how it works for me. |

I am looking at a 3 250W with PC's. Not a big fan of PC's but will work with them since they are only for supplemental lighting.

I know what u mean. My other lighting was the odyssea with same actinic and I did not like them. I'm currently tuning 5 royal blue Cree LEDs that I purchases from "rapid led" amazing color!! I hope the 2-150 will add to my tank.

As an aside but which would give better results (i.e. sps growth etc.) for a 265 gallon reef ( 7 feet x 2 feet x 30 inches ), 250w DE, 250w SE, or 400w SE. I can get any of these but am thoroughly confused as to which way to go.

Got my fixture from a local reefer for 100 bucks. Used but with new bulbs. I will say, I'm super super happy about the deal.
As for your system. I've seen 150G with 2-250 HQI. For a 250+ I'd use 3-250 or more. Depending on corals. |

I had one. After 5 years the ballasts died and the Glass Cover got so encrusted into the frame I could'nt replace the MH bulb.
It did well enough while it lasted.
