Top off water
I have went from a 70 gallon main tank to a 300. I used to have a small tupperware that would do for top off for serveral days. I now have a 20 gallon tank for RODI water. Do I need to worry about the water going stagnate on me? Is there anything I should do to keep the water good?

You should be fine. I think you will find that 20 gallon of top off will go fast in that large of a tank. If you want you can run a small power head or an air stone to keep the water moving and O2 rich.

If you're using an ATO system, RO/DI water is fed into your sump very slowly, and I wouldn't worry about it getting stagnate.
Besides, I think a 300g would be evaporating at least 5g of water a day, your 20g RO/DI reserve will run out in less than a week. |

I have a 10 gallon tank for my ATO reservoir that pretty much gets empty in less than 2 weeks, and my main tank is only 70 gal. I would think that yours will have to be refilled at least once a week or so. I don't think that would be enough for it to become stagnant.

I go through 20 gallons a week at least on a 150g system.

Because RO/DI has been stripped from desinfectants there is always the posibility of getting it contaminated with spores or bacteria but you should not have a problem aver a week or so period but in any case keep the reservoir ell covered and if possible in a dark area or use a reservoir that is not translucent or transparent.

Shouldn't be a problem. My top off water sits for up to two weeks and I have never had any issues with it.
