Hey guys, i ordered 3 PAR30 bulbs from BoostLED yesterday so i figured its time to pick up my fixture. I picked up a canister style track light system, is this going to work? After buying it last night I was thinking and thought that I may have read somewhere it cant be canister style? Thanks for your help
It looks like this:

Yeah from what I have read, I wouldn't have them in a fixture that encloses the entire bulb due to heat issues. If they are enclosed, it makes it that much harder for the heat to escape.

The track light head part just needs to open and does not have a cover.

led lighting question

Well it took awhile but I am finally getting on board with less now the question I have a 72 gallon bowfront and what I am looking for is color and growth I am torn between ai or sunbrites I have no canopy so I need something with a fixture I have heard that with only 2 ai. There could be dark spots unlike th the sunbrites because they are tubes so I don't know what to do your ad vice is appreciated I want to grow most corals including some sps later

Two AIs on a 72 gallon bow front, approx dimensions 48x18x20, would be fine. They will support any coral you want to put in that tank. I have seen one used on 60 gallon cubes, 24x24x24, and the coverage was even.
