My new 65 gal tank

Hi, I'm new to the hobby and I'm trying to learn while doing my first setup.
I've been reading for a long time. Here is the description of my setup.

This forum is the best way to document my progress and I hope to receive a lot of the valuable feedback from the people with experience in the hobby.

-Tank Perfecto 65 Gal 36" x 18" x 24"
-Modified beananimal coast to coast overflow
-Sump 25 Gal with 18 gal of water
-SWC 160 cone skimmer
-Eheim 1260 Return pump
-2 x 150 W Eheim Jagger heater
-Tunze nanostream 6045 flow pump
-BRS RO/DI
-BRS GFO/carbon ractor with maxijet 1200 pump
-40 lbs Caribsea ocean direct live sand (gave me 1" dept aprox)
-50 lbs BRS ecosaver base rock
-LED lights, 12 XP-G cool white/12 XP-E royal blue with dimming meanwhels drivers. Soon to be doubled.

The skimmer is doing a good job clarifying the water, Should I put now the carbon reactor?

And here are pictures of the actual status:

My tank is the similar in size, but i have an annoying brace bar about 3 inches from the top which cuts it down to about 21 inches.

Also only 17 back to front!

Lovely tank though dude.

Lights will be hanging from the stand above, also a gravity ATO will be there, I'm thinking to put a 5 gal container.

Jimbob, yes, I like the proportions of this tank a lot, and I'm loving the way I made my overflow, I was looking for the minimum intrusion in the tank, I modified a little the beananimal design and I'm very happy with the result,

Doing much better this morning, after filling yesterday, today the water is much clear, salinity is in 1025 and I'm going to test some parameters today. Later today I'll add a picture with the LEDs.

How can I post pictures to see them directly in the post and not as miniatures of attachments?

5th day of cycle, after adding two raw shrimps, ammonia levels are increasing fast, now at 2 mg/L. Now the water is clowdy and milky.
PH has been stable at 8,2 and dKH at 11,2. free ammonia at 0,8 mg/L. Nitrites and nitrates still very low.

Yesterday I decided to put 8 Lbs of live rock to seed the tank with bacteria and coralline algae.

Is this coralline algae going to survive the cycle? is there a way to treat that rock from nuisance algae?
