What is this little guy?

Just found him on the glass in my girlfriend's nano tank. He's moved a tad bit so I know he's alive.

Wow, I've never seen one of those buggers.

I'd guess that it is some type of nudibranch???

Now that I've been home for awhile and watching him a bit, he's been cruising all over the glass of the tank. Pretty interesting looking little creature.

It's a nudi. The slim chance that it is beneficial are far outweighed by the odds that it is a coral muncher. I'd remove it and keep an eye out for more.

Put it in the sump. If it's good, it'll live, if not---it'll starve.

That's remarkably clever. That should be a slogan.

Aeolid nudibranch. They eat certain species of coral.

Looks like the zoa eating nudi I had, but there's probably several different types.

I would never put anything in my sump thats small enough to make it through my return pump. Half of the stomatella snails I had in my sump have made it up through my Eheim 1262.

looks like a zoa eating nudi to me.. it will multiply and eat all of your zoas until there is none left.. look at your zoas for more of them and for eggs which will look like tiny little white spirals.. you'll have to manually remove the eggs with tweezers.. the easiest way to do this is outside of the tank.. the zoas will close up makign it alot easier to see... also do this dip to get rid of the adults.. its a good idea to dip all new zoanthid additions when you first get them.. those nudis can really ruin your zoanthids day.. good luck

Just did a quick look through, doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary... besides a few aiptasia far away from the corals. Will these spirals be on the zoas themselves? Also the nudi died apparently. He's floating in the sump. Might have hurt him when I moved him?
