Eheim Jager is what most people around here use. For you I would go with 2 250watt.

i have had very good luck with viaaqua titanium heater with controller. i got 2 300w on 2 separate electric legs for back up just incase if it blows the breaker backed ny reefkeeper for added security.

+1 on 2 smaller wattage heaters... redundancy if one fails OFF.. (the remaining heater just runs more) and lower wattage heaters so if it fails ON, hopefully you can catch it before it cooks your tank...

A separate heater controller adds even more safety.
