My first drilled tank

I am in the process of setting up a 75 gallon tank that is drilled, 1in, I am planing on setting up a 29 gallon tank for a sump/fuge. I am looking for any advice you might have on setting this up, what kind of skimmer should I get, what size return pump should I use, should I split it off and have dual returns to my tank, what can I do to make sure it doesnt flood my apartment. Thank you for your help.

I use a eheim 1260 for my return pump and love it.
I drlled my own tank and used the overflow kit from g l a s s holes and it's awesom.
Only ran one return line to tank but had to put a tee on it to run some water back to sump/ fuge tank cause of flow. Be sure to put some valves on your return line to controll your flow back to tank.
My tank is a 75 gallon with a 20 gal long sump/fuge.
I purchased a vortex in 100 skimmer and installed a tunze hydrofoamer pump on it. The upgraded tunze pump made a huge difference and it's pulling some great skimmate.

As far as flooding need to make sure you leave enough room for the water to drain back to your sump when you have a power outage.

Kind of a quick couple things for ya, if you have any questions u could pm anytime if you want.
