Is a UV a good idea in a FOWLR system?

Someone just gave me an Odyssea w Sterilizer. Not real fond of the brand, but it was free in the box. Should I plumb it in or not? I have a 90g FOWLR.

I use a 36 watt on my 210 and believe that it has helped my tank a lot. My tank is FOWLR and I was having an issue with flukes. I didn't want to do any severe medicine treatments due to a small shark and ray in the tank, the UV has prevented the return of any other diseases. It also appears that the UV has helped my water clarity.

Careful with that brand. Make sure you plumb it in the sump. I had one and after a year the light burned a hole through the side of it and was shooting water out through it. Luckly it was in the sump (no submerged) and didnt create a mess.

REALLY good advice! I also noticed it is not UL tested. Not sure if even (w is gonna do a 90g.
