Yellow Damsel
My wife bought this Yellow Damsel instead of getting me a Yellow Tail Damsel. I want to know how reef safe are they and to they do damage to mushrooms and other coral. He looks very bossy and very active. I noticed lots of my mushrooms missing on the rocks and dont know if he might be the culprit. Rumour is also I heard they eat flatworms.

I have never heard of a damsel not being reef safe so I think it is very unlikely that it is bothering your shrooms. Don't know about the flatworms. If you are looking for some flatworm control a sixline wrasse would be a good canidate. I am not really familiar with Yellow Damsels but I do know the Yellow Tailed Damsel is one of the least agressive . maybe someone else can chime in.

I have little experiance with reefkeeping, 13 years only. I also dont have a problem with flatworms. I asked one of my friends who is the guru of reefkeepers and he said its reef safe. He also said that my flow could be a bit too much with the Tunze pumps causing the mushrooms to rip off the rocks. Im going to cut down the flow and see what happens. I did turn the flow up having an endless problem with cyno for 4 months, think Im beginning to lose my touch with reefkeeping.

I also have a yellow damsel. Beautiful, reef safe, and cheap fish.
