Any creative ways of mounting phosphate reactor?
Lucking I discovered mine in time to avoid a disaster. It was leaking from the hose connections.
It is a two little fishes reactor and quite honestly, I think the connectors are cheaply made and don't fit very tight. They make me nervous. I have a 100 gallon rubbermaid sump and I would like to mount the reactor inside. But it is made to hang onto the side of a tank. Any good ideas how I can mount it inside the sump to avoid a leak? I thought about cutting some large diameter pvc and capping one end. Mount it standing upright and put the reactor in this. |

If you are careful witht he hose connections and you have room you can just sit it in your sump easy enough. Not terribly creative but that's what I did for a while since I had a rubbermaid for a sump for a while as well.

you can always get those ring clamps and crimp down those rubber connectors at the top.
they tend to leak when pressure is being forced on them from some odd angle. or perhaps just perm mount them to it with some type of rubber glue.. leaving the non glued ones hanging over the tank/sump with them facing down for a drip line back into it. i feel your same concern as i do not have a sump right now. |

Thanks moondoggy but I'm hoping to get by without buying more equipment. I already own two of the two little fishes reactors.
