Becket skimmer question????

Hi guys, does anyone know if a person could power a becket skimmer with his return? Or does a becket always require a pressure rated pump? Thanks everyone!!!!

Pressure rated is best yes. As well, typically people use dedicated pumps to ensure there is no variance in pressure or water supply. Even a little thing like a snail trying to crawl over the hole of your return exit in the tank could create enough back pressure to force more water into the skimmer causing it to overflow. Extreme situation, but it's not impossible either.
