need help with these frags?

anybody know what they are called? how much light do they need? Is 65 watts enough? Do they have to be placed on top of rocks or can I place them On sand?

will shrimp or damsels harm them? my peppermin shrimp seems to be on them picking away at them. But they are still fine. Is he just cleaning them or something?

I bought them at $7 each. Is that a good price for them? wondering if I should buy more.

please help if you can

first one is zoanthid, the second one is a zoanthid/paly/button polyp type coral that i have never actually figured out the proper name. both are very easy and will most likely easily be kept under your "64 watt" lights. but what type of lights are they? t5, halide, led, pc, regular fluorescent bulbs? Generally if you keep them under slightly more powerfull T5/LED/Halide they will color up more. your other animals will not bother them, but check your peppermint. make sure the shrimp isnt tearing any of there flesh. i know some peppermints can go rogue. rocks are fine for them. $7 for zoanthids isnt bad. if you find some with colors you like, then $7 doesn't hurt too much.

like hydrophylic said, they're zoanthid's. The second may be paly, but either way, they should be easy to keep alive. I'm definitely curious what you mean by 65 watts... but they don't need a whole lot of light...The reason I'm wondering is because 65 watts of LED lighting could be a lot... 65 of PC lighting wouldn't be very much, in the same size tank... I'd keep them on a rock, mid to high in the tank.

I agree, $7 isn't bad at all. I really like the first ones!

I'm not trying to be rude but... Typically you would want to ask these questions before you buy. It will save you lots of $$$ in the long run.
