Question sugar sand/ hydor placment

i got sand from marco rocks and the stuff is fine it has settled down a bit but then i placed in my hydors in the tank they are 1400 gal per hour and i have 2 my tank is a 120 long can any one give me any advice as to where to place these so they wont blow my sand around so much? i have spent alot of cash getting this tank going so im not really able to buy a different type of sand and i have read that people use sugar sand and are all and all happy with it so im going to give this a shot but any advice would be apreciated thanks

also 1 more question im going to go get some live rock tomarrow to seed the dry rock i have in there so i was thinking about getting some live sand to help establish my sand bed so im wondering once the sand bed gets established will the sand settle down some in time?

The sand will settle out once it becomes "coated" in bacteria. If your tank is new give it some time to become colonized. If your not getting a substantial amount of live rock consider throwing a peice of shrimp in there to get the cycle going.

well all the rock is cycled already and im no expert but i thought you wouldnt have to do that with cycled rock but thanks for the sand info
