Can I use a 4x54 watt T5 ballast on 2x54?
I have a line on a cheap 4x54 watt HelloLight T5 retro set up with bulbs for cheap. It looks like everything is prewired. My real question is that one ballast powers all 4 lights, so in order to gain control over timing each pair of 2 separately, I was thinking on using my workhorse 5 on one pair, and the HelloLight 4x ballast on the other pair. Can I do this properly or will it just overdrive the bulbs to hell?
Any solutions or insight would be appreciated. |

Yeah I don't think anyone knows what ballast the HelloLights use. I've heard they are plain black ballasts with no writing.
