Bubble algae?

I have a few red and a few green bubbles on some of my rock. I'm dead set against the emerald crab, and I really don't think that there are enough of them to justify that anyway. So what's the best way to remove them. I know if you bust them they will spread. Can I get them with a siphon hose right up on it? What do you do?

siphon them out. Cut the end of the hose at a angle so you have a point to try and get them loose. Depending how big it is, an airline tube works great. I just siphoned out a few last night during my WC w/o them popping.

Or if you can get the rock out, just knock them off outside the tank and quickly rinse the area in ro.

I tried to hose them out and burst some. The red spread like crazy. On the other hand I didn't have any corals and turned the lights off completely for a couple of weeks before moving. All algae seems to be gone at the moment(hair and bubble).

IME it is a myth that they will spread if burst.
