lighting for new tank
I am new to saltwater and have started a nano reef which is a 7.5 Mr. Aqua. I am cycling the tank now but want to keep corals primarily and who knows where it goed from there?
I have a current USA Orbit PC fixture/w 2X40w dual actinic and 50/50 bulbs. I am wondering if this much lighting suffices, overdoes it, etc. My tank is 10.5 inches deep w a 1" sandbed, by the way. I am also considering the par30 or 38 bulbs to but i'm just wondering about what i've got now. Previously i used this fixture on a planted tank and it worked great for that. I'm eyeing some ricordea and a cool open brain at a local salt shop. I'm also gonna run an aquaclear 20w/ purigen or chemi-pure and a Koralia nano. |
