Tube Anemone
I have a fully stocked reef and I recently saw an orange tube anemone in my LFS. Is it a bad idea to add it to my reef?

I am not what many would consider an expert, but I would say no. Unless you have an area that is isolated from the rest of the corals then you run the risk of having the nem sting the others.

I've had a purple w/ green center tube anemone for about 4 years now. No problems at all. Just find a nice place in the sand far enough away from other corals that they can't touch each other and it should be fine.

Add it. They are awesome. I had one for a while before I ended up taking down one of my tanks. Give it space just like you would any coral.

I have 3 in a mixed reef, just give them space and an ample sand bed.

I have had mine for 5 years now and it is probably the hardiest nem I have owned. Virtually bullet proof to less than perfect water params. My opinion is - no worries, throw 'er in!
