Refugium LED project
Well lots of DIY LED's posts.. here's a first refugium LED...
I was using a 25W MacroGlo (6500K) for my fuge but it made the temp a lil warm.. I switched to a 10W TrueLumenPro (8000K) but the chaeto didn't grow well.. After researching, I found the best spectrum for chaeto is 5000-6500K. Hopefully that's right.. So I set up a project to create my own LED strip with the right color spectrum. And so here's my LED strip rated at 5000K. Table messy.. just finished all the soldering and wiring: And it works: And here is the final product in the cabinet: Turns out 6 LED's is VERY bright. I dimm'ed the lights a bit to see how the chaeto does
