Seeking some return pump advice....
150g 5x2x2 tank with two 6x6x22"T overflow box in both corners. 2 bulkhead drains, 2" reduced to 1.5" running with a 80g sump tank. Return line up and over the tank at 5ft from the sump along with 2 MP40s.
What "internal" return pump would you recommend for this system? TIA

Ill add that the 1262 is a LOT nicer than the 9.5. More flow due to better head performance, quieter, more reliable, and also easier to service.

Okay so, 1.5 inch - average of 1,500 gallons per hour per bulkhead and there's 2 of them in this tank....
With those two pump they average Mag 9.5 @ 5ft- 750GPH, and the Ehiem 2162 runs in the mid 700 GPH. That will be enough turnover flow? If so, then it sounds like this will be a very quiet set up...

the 1.5s flow a lot less with dursos in them, about 700 - 750 each. for safety each drain should handle the whole flow in case one gets blocked. so those 2 pumps are good.
quiet is good. |

What about the atb 1500, then you have extra flow to t off to reactors and such. Plus it is super quiet! I personally dont think the mag 9.5 or the eheim will be enough flow. jmho
