Worth trying to save?

I found this washed up on shore. It was still wet.

I have a 11 hour drive to get it home tomorrow and it has stunk since I found it 2 days ago. I have keep changing the water and it doesn't seem to be completely dying, but I don't know.

Is it worth the PITA to try to save? I have other things I am bring back too that will require attention.

Would it even be something that would survive in my 90 gallon reef tank?

Brandon

A sponge. Sorry, I thought the picture would be self descriptive.

not worrth it most likely already damaged beyond repair. most when introduced to air die pretty soon after.
