ty so much for posting this!!! i have the same thing in my tank. I know they are eggs, because after a while it tears and the yellow things in the center come out. In your pic i also see a crown conch. i hve these as well. it is possible they are crown conch eggs

no they arent eggs from the conch. not that one at least. you most likely got it from the beach in fl which i would never reccomend (im from daytona beach stationed in south carolina) ive seen them knock rocks and eat fish not to mention the disease you can pull in from the florida coastline is quite impressive. it works for some people but i never mix reefs i paid for with stuff from the beach. if you did pay for it i apologize because they litter the beaches all around you. other than that it does look like an egg casing just not from that snail.
