LR with hair & bubble algae?
remove? recently acquired >30lbs live rock from fellow RC member. its now day 3 in a coleman icebox with ph. suggestions pls.
fyi, i'm returning into hobby. thanks.

I would not take any chances with it and bleach and acid dip it. Search the Chemistry forum for the thread on this. I bleached some bad rock and then dipped in acid to remove any phosphates. You will be starting off with dead rock but it will be better in the long run.

Yuou can manually remove hair and bubble algae with a little effort. You may want to chip a bit of rock under the bubble algae to get it all.
Search will find you plenty of suggestions. Jeff |
