Glass top on led light????
Hello everyone!!!!! Is there any effects on the about of light taken when a glass top is added and kept clean. My new LEDs are about as strong as a MH 250. Id like to avoid topping up once a week if need be not. Lol but I also wanna add sps. I'll try and get a pic up later but it's a 36 column and 24" tall

Can I why you would not be topping off? My evaporation slowed from 5 gallons a day to 1-2 gallons when I swicthed from MH to LED's. Maybe yours will slow too.
But to answer you question, will effect you PAR? It will some, but test show it is nothing to worry about. |

Besides top off, I have a glass top to protect my LED fixture. 50,000 hours of lamp life doesn't include saltwater corrosion after a couple of years.

I have a 120g (4x2x2) with led's and a glass top to protect the led's from salt corrosion. I have to top off about a gallon a day. Don't know how you'll get away with once a week.
