Water changes without RO/DI

Without RO/DI, is the PETCO Real Ocean Water my best option when it comes to water changes?

you can still mix your own salt water just go to wal mart and buy water from the machine usually you can fill 1gal. - 5 gal. jugs for cheap.

I am not sure how good that water from PETCO is so I can't comment on that.

Without a TDS meter you never know how far off of tap water you are buying. Putting your trust into some summertime temp night help to keep filterss changed?

But I ran on Walmart water for quite awhile till i got ro/di at the house....sooooo much easier.

An RODI unit isn't a necessity but it'll make things a lot easier, the saltwater from petco is a bit spendy and the water from wallmart isn't ran through a di-ionization process so there will still be some TDS, your best bet is to buy distilled water off the shelf and mix your own saltwater, however that isn't cheap either, the cheapest in the long run is in fact your own RODI unit, if you calculate it out it cost about $0.09 a gallon to make... compare that to walmart or even distilled water.
