AL Sol Super Blue LED and depth opinions

I am contemplating a 24"x24"x24"deep or 24"x24"x31"ish deep tank.

I have one of the new Sol Super Blues on order. My question to the owners of these fixtures, what do you think about one of these fixture to handle either of these tank depths. From reading around most people have the whites down 50% or below even with 24" deep tanks. I would like to go with the 31"deep tank for the extra height that the SPSs to grow up. I would not expect to grow them down at the bottom just midway and higher.

I thought I could link up a nano Sol if necessary at a different height off the water line if I needed some future PAR at a deeper depth.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks

Only been running mine a week. The tank is 24x24x18, so it's shallower than your intended. I'm running it 12" off the water and appear to get good lighting throughout the tank. My corals transferred from a 90 with 250mh & t5 are responding well. I don't have a PAR meter but am relying on measurements from here: http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2010/5/aafeature2

I have a 30inch tank and my modules are 12 inche off the top. The depth penetration is unmatched by any other LED that I know of. I can easily grow SPS on sand with intensity at 40%W 95%B.

1 was not enough for my Solana (20x20x20)
You will need at least 2 modules.
And as far as having 2 modules on a 75g tank? and being completely satisfied? NO WAY
I have 3 on my 75g and am happy but would love a 4th in the long run.

I have a 24 x 24 x 24 rimless cube with ONE AI Sol, 12 inches over the tank. Currently keeping sps at the top tier and lps down below. Its been operational for 5 months, getting great growth and polyp extension. COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH THE LIGHT. Dont get me wrong I would love another module but I am getting good results with what I have.
And I have been increasing white % every week to 10 days. Currently I am up to 60 % at the most for approx 2 hours of my day cycle.

Well, you could always change out ALL the optics to 40 degree, have them closer together and handle the deeper tank. But for 24 inches, you would have a lot of play as they could always be ramped up. Mine are only at 60 percent.

I've got one over each 24x24 section of my 210, which is pretty deep. No issues at all, and I'm only up to 55% intensity. You should be fine, as long as you keep it over 12" off the water.
