Can You Use Grocery Store Minced garlic?

I'd like to add some garlic to my feeding of mysis. Is it ok to soak the defrosted mysis in the juice of the kind of minced garlic you buy in a jar in the grocery store?

It encurages eating amongst other fish for one. It also aids in helping fish avoid parasites.
