MH Reflector Advice - best for 36" wide tank
I need some help picking out the best reflectors for my 300G DD. It is 72Lx36Wx27H. It will be predominately SPS. I only have about 20" of headroom above the tank to work with.
I am debating between the Lumenbrite Mini Wides and the Lumenmax Elites. Most concerned about getting good coverage front to back across the 36" width of the tank. I will be running T5s as well across front and back.

Hi
I used to run one of the elite version on a 36" tank. The light covered from L to R. In your case front to back. For a 72" tank you may need 3-4 of these fixtures? Best

Just want to make sure the coverage is ok if I can only get them 12 - 14 inches above the tank.

To get more even coverage of par, not just a hotspot in the middle, you will need either a LumenMax Large, which are hard to come by, or a LumenArc Large.

Hope this helps:
http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=2005048 I planned to go with 2 Lumenmax elite's for me. But i am only 66 x 36. Seemed like should have plenty of spread for me keep good par in the middles where i need it and lower par around the edges. Lower light stuff there light acans or LPS.
