Help Starting a LR rubble Filter

Hello i am needing help right now i am 15 years old so i don't know everything yet but i need help. I have a 29BC that is doing great currently i have Just the filter a skimmer and the bio balls in the filter ( back portion) but i want to put LRR in to replace the bio balls cause i herd that bio balls are not really good later on but so anyways i have 1.5 pounds of LRR but i want to know what else i need do i need like a light or anything and i the water to be quiet not the gurgling noise but if anybody can help me i know i need more LRR but can i just pt it in the tank or put it in a bucket until it is cycled? if you need more details i can tell you

Rock rubble is the same as bio balls, just put the live rock in the tank and remove the bio balls. Remove about 1/4 of them a week to do it safely.

thanks do i need any light i am thinking about putting some chaeto in there? is 3 pounds enough to replace the bio balls

No light needed for just the LRR. Use as much as will fit.

Current Tank Info: 120 mixed reef with 40b sump, RO 150 skimmer, AI Sol Blue x 2, and a 60g Frag Tank with 100g rubbermaid sump. 2 x Kessil A360w lights, BM curve 5 skimmer

Okay thanks but I am going to put chaeto in there to make it kinda like a refugium so what about the gurgling sound I have herd to just fill it until it doesn't make a sound or use a algae pad which works best

Oh and is it okay for me to just put it in there or should it be cycled I have 35lbs or rock in there right now ( I have not put the LRR in a bucket until I know everything)
