How can I Bend Light fixture Legs
I need to bend this light fixtures legs http://www.aquatraders.com/20-inch-4...re-p/52302.htm to make it fit on top of my 10g. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this, or mount the fixture above my tank. I was thinking just using some pliers.

If they are metal, yes you can use pliers. I would put the fixture in a vise to hold it tight while I used the pliers

Why would you need to bend those legs? The fixture is 19.5" and extends to 26". A standard 10 gallon is 20"

it is 19.5" without the legs, and the rim is 5mm inwards on each side so the fixture is uneven and im worried it is going to fall in.

I think you have it set up wrong...
Are you trying to place the "Feet" on the inside trim of the tank? (as in where a glass cover sits) It's made to on top of the trim with the "feet" on the outside of the tank. Put on properly there's no way for it to fall in because it can't move from side to side

Im trying to put the legs outside of the trim, but they are to long even when they are pushed all the way in. I took the legs off to see if the light would then fit ontop, but one side is sittting in the trim and the other is on top of the trim. I was thinking I should just buy a glass top and set it ontop of it. What do you think

IMO a glass top is not a good idea. You will hamper gas exchange, and heat may become an issue.

why dont you get some Aluminum Angle Iron and make a new frame and then sit the light in the new frame
