Aquaillumination Growth rate?
I have already ordered 1 Sol Blue from my LFS for 54g corner.
I am just curious does anybody have any pics of the growth rate from the aqua illumination fixtures. I have browsed through the 60 page thread and did not see anything on proven growth yet. I would like to see peoples positive experience from the fixture. Thanks |

http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...5#post18879165 That guy is sure seeing some growth... The general consensus is a resounding YES. Growth is every bit as good as MH, but way way more efficient. |

Search for this thread that I started:
"2 month growth w/LED's" I posted a picture after my first two months with AI's. If anything growth has accelerated since then. Others have posted similar results. My growth rate seems to be slightly faster than with my old 175W MH's. Just my experiences and just one data point.

Can't imagine what that tank looks like in person. Must be stunning.
I have an acan 4 ft and a ai sol white and a no name chinese 60w led. My SPS (albeit modest) growth is best under the ai sol, followed by the chinese fixture. The acans at full strength do OK. The chinese LED fixture puts out tons of light but is too focused. It's like a spotlight. I think the spectrum on these fixtures are fine for growth. It's just a question about intensity and PAR. Just my opinion... Quote:
