SRO xp3000 ?

After much debate I have decided to order the super reef octopus xp3000. My tank upgrade is a 52x26x23 miracles tank with a 40G breeder sump. I was just about to order this from goreef after reading alot of amazing reviews on the product. Anyone own one or have comments before I pull the trigger ?
Thanks

I had one on my last tank. Good skimmer. If I had it to do over, Id get the SRO 3000 and save some $. I have a friend that has one and it works just as well as the XP did.

I have the SRO 3000INT. I love it. I have had two other high end skimmers in the past, yet this one is better. I have it on my 210rr now.

Thanks, Steve

How many gallons total in your system? I'm guessing about 120 in the display and another 20 - 30 in the sump? Depending on your bio-load the 3000 might be a bit too big to skim well. Might want to consider the XP2000 (and save a few $$$).

You also might want to post this in the Coralvue/Reef Octopus forum. They're very good about answering questions.

I was actually looking at the SRO 3000. I guess I shouldn't have added that XP in there.... Does that change opinions ?
Anyone?

I just pulled the trigger on a SRO 3000 internal myself. Haven't really seen anyone with anything bad to say about RO skimmers.

I got a SRO 3000 xp cone on a 180 and it rocks. the pressure fitting collection cup takes some getting used too but thats my only gripe. saving up now for a swabbie and a waste collector so I dont have to mess with taking that monster collection cup off.

how many inches of water do you guys keep the SRO3000int on?

mine is right about 6"... anymore than that and i'll have water gushing out of the cup no matter how i have it adjusted.
