anyone take gfo offline and see improvements?
been back and forth the last year....my sps looked better imo when i 2 parted mainly due to a faulty ph probe for a month while I chased down other causes.
I have dosed my tanks the better part of their lives because I can always justify "one more fish" so I try to keep my alk at 7-8. With what appears to be a seasonal bloom of invasive GHA that grows on coral only to go away after 6 weeks going on, I added gfo and it hasn't been the same. I've upgraded skimmer and it pulls twice as much as before....but I see that zeo systems say to not use po4 reducing agents--and in my dyi zeo bacteria/dosing that's what I did. Today I've taken it off and will observe the tank, not the po4 test. Anyone been here before? |
