Oh and also, where should i place it in my tank? i have a 55 gallon with 2 54watt actinics and 2 150 watt MHs. Right now i have it around the middle of the tank on a rock. Is that ok or should it be on the sand bed? Will it grow on the sandbed, i heard they encrust on rocks so i wasnt sure if putting it on the sand will slow the growing down or not. It seems like its gotten lighter since i put it in my tank 3 days ago..

It looks like dragon soul favia (I have some), and ditto on that being a good deal. If you place it lower, it may get darker and still do fine. I have mine on the sand. Growth will be quicker if it has a rock to spread onto; otherwise, expect slow growth if it has to build its own base. Just my experience, so maybe some others will chime in with theirs. Enjoy!

I'd say it is a "dragon soul" favia. I keep mine on the sandbed in the middle of my tank. The growth is a bit slower but I think that's where the colors look best. It's up to you whether you want growth or color.

I'm with Snorvich, there are few corals I truely agree on for designer. I've never seen Dragon Soul, but the picture to me looks like what I've seen called a prism Favia.
My exceptions right now are: Nuclear Green Palythoas Purple Death Palythoas King Midas Zoanthids Because those have been the most consistent between everyone's tanks. |
