rabbitfish and goby question

i recently purchased a two barred rabbitfish and a chocolate goby (not sure of its technical name but if anyone knows it please tell me)

they are both in QT now. The rabbitfish is doing pretty well, he's eating heaps which is good although he is still camouflaged mostly. The goby has been hiding in PVC tubing almost the whole time (4 days). I've seen him swim out a few times, but if i go anywhere near the tank he quickly hides again. Im just worried coz i havent seen him eat and i put plenty of food , like pellets which sit on the bottom but i see the rabbitfish eating them. I dont know if he gets out and eats at night but im sure there wouldnt be much left.

is it just because he's new? i remember my blenny did hide for the first week or so and then came good

have you tried feeding live shrimp or bits of flesh to your goby? imho you should try to entice them to eat, bits of fish, clams, brine shrimp and such..they're carnivores so thats the reason they don't eat the pellets

As far as the rabbit fish goes, it'll eat everything and anything. About the easiest and most hardy fish I've ever had. I've never heard of a "chocolate goby" but here's a link. I think different types have different feeding requirements. If I were you I'd find out what kind and what it's needs are.
