corals that just wont encrust?

What corals do you all have a problem getting to encrust? i dont know if anybody else has ever had luck with hammers or frogspawn but i have never seen them encrust on the rock.

Frogspawn & Hammer corals do not fall into the "encrusting" category, they are branching or wall type corals, they grow new heads or expand their wall.

i thought that was why, but wasnt sure. are there any others that just dont encrust? My birdsnest doesnt really want to encrust either, but i found a small hole in a rock that it fits into almost perfectly. Its really growing fast now.

I would research Encrusting Corals, most are of the SPS variety, Birdnest will spread to surrounding rock but mainly grows upwards into branching nest like structure.

maybe encrusting isnt the right word to use. im talking about corals that attach themselves to rock.
