Rinsing Sand?

I have rinsed my sand before but I just got all new sand for my new 220Gal set-up.

I bought Carib-Sea Fiji Pink and the bag says not to rinse the sand and that is has some kind of free water clearer.

Anywhere I look says not to rinse it. This link here has someone who did a bacteria test on it to show it has it. http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/lofi...p/t115300.html

I guess I will just be dumping the whole thing in the tank.

Got my 20lbs bags of Fiji Pink for $16 a bag. Waaaaaayyy cheaper than any place I found online or and other store.

So if everywhere says don't rinse it, don't rinse it.

Wait a minute.. not you. Since when have you come here. I stopped going to the other place with no name. Figure it's a lot safer now without me.

I posted my new set up here instead if you are interested to see it. Just got it all leveled and will be adding my sand and as much water as I can over the weekend.

Yes my dear I couldn't sleep wondering if you would find me again haha

Here is the link though - http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=2046164

As I am typing I keep hearing snapping coming from my tank(old one of course) I am seriously not wanting to put that live rock into the new tank.

I have not seen any Mantis Shrimp since months ago. You would think you would see it eventually. I mean it was staring right at me and never even ran and hid when I was trying to catch it.

I know I have those Pistols in the rock so it could be those but man they are loud at time. I still have tons of crabs and snails so I do not think they are missing.

I have no choice almost but to put it in the new tank to be able to support the 9 fish and the 4 new ones coming with them.

I was thinking I could toss all the rock into the huge sump I have to try to get whatever it is out but I doubt it will matter.

I will probably put a piece of this live rock in the tank with the dry rock during the cycling to try to speed it up.

It is obviously live and established so I do not know how it will do during the Ammonia dosing for my fishless cycle.
