derasa clam t5 placement

so i have it on a rock almost directly under my 4x54 watt (60 gallon tank) but i heard they like sand, the problem is will it be ok in the sand (not individual reflectors)

Mine keeps moving off his rock on the substate. Its about 20 inches from T-5's on the substrate now. My derasa is about 6 inches now and hasn't attached. That's usually the concern, but the smaller ones do that I heard. Mine seems to like the sand. Even with no individual reflectors you should be fine. Derasa clams are low light.

My Dersa moved himself off a small cropping of rocks onto my bare bottom. (I know that doesn't sound right so no comments please) Funny thing is, that's where I wanted it in the first place but it kept falling over and rolling along.

they like substrate better. after u place it at the bottom, see if it stretches for more light. if it does, then ur lighting is insufficient.

Put it on the bottom better to be happy then constantly trying to move.

mines on the sandbed in a 75g with a 4 bulb t5. been there for a year, and continues to grow.
