Best position for skimmer
Hi,
Im looking for a new setup with the main tank, a sump for technics and two sumps for water volume or frags.. Now my idea was to have the main tank connected to the sump with the skimmer next to the main tank so it would be easy to maintain. However that means the frags come behind it.. Or I should choose to put the frag tanks first and then the technics, but there I'll have to put it under the tank so less accessible.. What do you think is the best position? A sketch can clarify a little bit what I mean. Looking forward for your comments. |

It will make no difference if you put the frags before or after the skimmer. Put the skimmer where you will be able to access it the easiest.
