Acan LED

Hi, I am thinking of finally switching to LED lighting, does anybody have any experience with this fixture?http://www.acanlighting.com/index.ph...id=9&Itemid=27? I am also looking at Vertex Illumina, but since they are not sold in U.S. I am afraid to deal with Canadian retailers just in case of any issues later with the product.Any info or opinions are welcome.Thanks.

They look extremely nice. I just haven't heard of anyone who has them. Aren't these repackaged eco lamps? Hopefully others can give some insight, I would love to hear from personal experience.

i saw them in person. they are on the blue side. the fixture is very sexy and does not use fan if am not mistaken, hence no noise. the other brand i saw in the same swap use thermal sensing fans and they never turned on during the swap too. make careful decision which model to get, because they use different optics for penetration or coverage. you should ask them which model to choose. don't blindly go for the higher par models it may not cover the tank.

I did contact the maker of those lights and they said either the A102AC or A104AC will work for my tank.I personally like the 102 model.Just hesitant to jump to LED ,when my corals doing so great under T5's.

The Acan is a very good fixture but I believe the AI's offer more options and versatility. However, if you are not planning to hang the fixture, the Acan may be a better option.
