bubble magnus skimmer broke?

I noticed when i moved the tank last week a piece broke off and I didn't realize how important it was. I went to drain the skimmer cup since it should have been full but it wasn't too full. I realized that the piece that broke off goes to the skimmer cup. What can be done?

Well, you can cap that elbow and then empty the main cup when needed. Or you can find a piece of tubing that will fit over it and then have a bigger drain cup. Or you can try to find pieces of plumbing that small at a specialty hardware store.

that looks like a john guest fitting. either replace the fittings with a new one or cap the broken end with some epoxy and empty the cup weekly

the hose came off. just push it back in. you need to remove the blue clip first, push the hose in, then put the blue clip back.
