Mud on live rock?

I've recently purchased a live rock from my LFS and there seems to be mud(?) in one of the smaller caverns... is that normal?

Thanks, guys.

I'd take a turkey baster and blow it out in a bucket of rodi or saltwater. All the junk debris that collects in the pores/caverns of Live Rock do nothing but add the higher nitrates, phosphates, ect. and eventually cause issues. In my humble opinion.
