Thinking about a new skimmer... advice?

I was thinking about getting a new skimmer... eventually I want to use it in my upgraded tank, 75 gallon, with a 20-30 gal sump. I was hoping to keep the footprint as small as possible, so I could have as much room as possible for my refugium. Quiet would be nice too... I keep coming across bubble king, but they are pretty expensive. What might be the next step down that would keep about the same footprint?

Not sure about the footprint, but deltec would be close to bubble king as far as quality... However may not be that much cheaper! Haha.

I just bought the Avast CS1 and its a beast...For me the bonus it I got to build it. If you dont mind putting in a bit of work you can save some money and get a great skimmer as well

I love my Tunze. Mine has been going for 13 years without a hiccup and they're extremely quiet.

i was debating on the swc cone 160 and the reef octopus xs 160. i ended up going with the reef octopus xs 160 and this thing is dead silent and pulling some nice dark crap. the foot print was one of the smallest i could find thats rated up to 160 gallons. the reason why i didnt go with swc cone 160 is because its only rated to 150 and i heard they are having pump issues when starting up (some within 6 months or less) maybe one day in the future ill buy a swc for a much larger tank but for now im very satisfied with my reef octopus.
