Feedback Please 300

I currently have a 300 gal tank well more like 295 gallons with 100 g sump
Anyways I want to go rimless with a footprint of 6ftx3ft and maybe 20 inches
High tank will be starphire glass all around 1inch thick stand will be professionally
Made I was wondering if someone here has a similar set up and I wanna know
What the ballpark cost of such a set up?

You might want to ask in the large tank forum. You could also get some quotes from places like ReefSavy or Miracles or a local builder. Quotes are usually free.

For the complete setup depending on what you're planning to keep, would probably be around $5,000-$8,000. I'd say that's on the low side since you're going to do a custom tank. I'm doing a 225, pre-owned, and already put around $2,000 into the tank, stand, plumbing, skimmer and ca reactor. I still need about $3,000+ more for the lights and power heads and controller.

I think this is kinda where I thought it would be ...for the power heads what are you buying which brand and model? As for the lights I think that will be the hardest to buy I'm thinking of keeping mostly softies or a variety ... I already bought a skimmer and I think it should do the job it's the one I'm currently running on my 300 anyways thanks

I'm getting two of the new mp40s. I'm going with metal halide lights, three pendants. Im doing sps so I'll be putting 400w over it.

Wow nice setup well I just called the builder today and the max that they can do with the depth is 30 inches which is the same as my tank I really want a wider tank . They keep telling me that they can't guarantee that it will hold

They won't guarantee it will hold likely because you are wanting rimless. With rimless you end up greatly increasing the thickness of your glass as well.
