Suction tube on tank
hey everyone so i got my tank up and running and im trying to figure out how to get this part quiet, its the part at the bulkhead that send the water to the sump. The straw piece that sticks out of the pipe is exrtemely loud, so much we cant watch a movie..lol.. it sounds like a suction, and the LFS i bought it from has the exact set up that is much quieter. anyone have any suggestions?

Are there any micro bubbles or vortexes being suicked up? I know that with standard overflows you can sometimes have a whirlpool or vortex form where the water is being sucked in then micro bubbles are sucked up as a result causing a slurping sound

In the case that it is a vortex, make sure the in put of the suction tube is as close to 90 degrees (facing DIRECTLY downward) as possible. if you can get it to 90 degrees or at least rllllly close, then the vortex will not be able to form.
