Question about fuge tank
Hi
I have a 75dt,20L sump, and a 20g fuge tank....fuge only has 12g water rest dsb. Fuge is for macro and pods. I want to feed the 20g fuge from the sump water. Whats best way to do this? T off from the return pump which is a quite one 700 gph? Or use a pump like a mj1200 separately from the sump? (Fuge drain is going back to sump.) Please advice advantage /disadvantage in both setups! Thanks...kris

First advantage is obviously space. Adding another pump can make things cluttered, take up available plugs, and drain more electricity. Currently I t-off my Mag 9.5 return pump to go to my DT and then to my fuge. I added a ball valve to regulate flow to my fuge. Then the fuge gravity drains into my DT.
Works great and delivers pods to my fat mandarins |
