Heaters
To heat my 5.5 gallon tank i am using a Jier 50 watt heater. I have had problems with keeping the temp stable since i got it 3 months ago. This morning I woke up and checked my tank temp and it was down to 70*F. I am tired of goofing around with this heater but the only other heater I have is a 200 watt heater. would that be ok in a tank this small or would it just heat the water so fast everything gets cooked. thank you so much in advance.

I would think you would have a hard time fitting a 200 watt heater in a 5g, but it will work, I wouldn't recommend it though, if it ever sticks on it will destroy a tank that small in a matter of minutes. I would use a 100 watt Ebo Jagr, they are about $23.
